A few nights ago, someone asked me “What would you want us to know about you?” This was in a group setting and I had lots of pairs of eyes looking back at me. I never claim to be the best speaker (especially while battling a cold and a runny nose) and I am notorious for coming up with the perfect thing to say about a day too late. So, I panicked and pretty much froze right then and there.

I thought a lot about this question and here’s what I came up with – I come from a very loving (and sometimes crazy) family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My parents divorced while I was in college, but they still care about each other and our family very much. My parents are open and honest with us – I love that and treasure it deeply, especially in my adult life.

My older brother is married and has two beautiful little girls. He is an amazing father and I hope I can be half the parent he is some day – it’s inspiring to watch. My younger brother is the most hilarious person you will ever meet, he keeps things light most of the time and keeps everyone laughing. He also has a huge heart which I absolutely love about him – he welcomes everyone he meets with open arms and without judgement. My family has been a huge part of shaping me into the person I am today.

Jon and I have a very fun and loving relationship – he truly is my best friend and I feel as though I can tell him anything including the good, the bad, and the ugly. I am a dog lover to no end and consider Rocko & Lance my children. I love to travel anywhere because I love adventures and making memories. I also love to read – I am currently reading, Everybody Always, because who doesn’t love Bob Goff?! I am better in small groups or one-on-one than I am in larger settings. I have an amazing group of friends who are super supportive and have been there for me through thick and thin. I am extremely introverted and tend to recharge when I have some down time. My love languages are acts of service and quality time.

• I have coffee time every morning and no one is allowed to speak to me for at least 10 minutes
