Top 5 Hair Care Products

When I was just a little, tiny thing, my mom would put me in pageants and fix my hair herself. Eventually, she found her calling as a hairdresser. I did not follow her career path, but I have always enjoyed helping her test out products, play with new tools, and getting my hair did on that free free!

Today, I am sharing my top 5 hair care products that I have in my bathroom at any given point in time. I have been using some of these products for years. I thought it was a great time to share, as they make great stocking stuffers or last-minute gift ideas!

  1. PRORITUALS GLOW SHINE SPRAY. This is the newest hair product I have added to my collection lately and I absolutely love it! A lot of times I wash my hair at night before bed. I like to let it air dry as much as possible. Once my hair has had time to dry for a bit, I spray this onto the bottom half of my hair. This product works wonders for calming down unwanted frizz, and it also works great as a heat protectant if you are using a curling iron or straightener.
  2.  DETOX Dry Shampoo by DryBar. This dry shampoo is by far one of my favorite hair products of all time! I would recommend buying this bottle of greatness at DryBar, Ulta, or Sephora. The retail price is $23 at all three places, but in this case, it costs more to order it from Amazon. They also have one specifically for you brunette babes, so I will leave a link for you here!
  3. PRORITUALS DREAM CREAM – Leave in Styling Conditioner. For those of us who color our hair, especially with bleach, a leave in conditioner is a must. After shampooing and conditioning my hair, I squeeze about a quarter size of this dream cream onto the palm of my hand and work it through the hair. Then I am able to easily comb through the wet mane.
  4. SURFACE – Push Styling Powder. A sweet hairdresser friend of mine introduced me to this product years ago and I have been obsessed with it ever since. It is a little pricey for such a small container (roughly $30 for .35 ounces) but it’s totally worth it. You just barely sprinkle this powder near the root of your hair for extra volume or directly onto waves or curls to get them to stay in place and last longer.
  5. BAIN DE TERRE – Stay N’ Shape Flexible Shaping Spray. I have never been able to stand a sticky hairspray that doesn’t allow my hair to breathe and move freely. This hairspray locks in curls and waves without the stickiness factor giving you a natural look. There’s no crunchy 80’s hair going on, just a smooth finish that easily brushes out.
